Chiefs' revamped roster outlast ORDER 2-1 in the grand final of ESL Australia & New Zealand Championship Season 6 Finals.

The three-day event took place this week at Supanova Expo in Sydney, Australia, with eight Oceanic teams in attendance. Notable teams from the region including Grayhound, ORDER, Tainted Minds and Chiefs were among the favourites to win the $20,000 AUD (~$15,200) tournament.

Day 1 witnessed Chiefs and Tainted Minds topping their respective groups undefeated (3-0), followed by ORDER and Corvidae placing second (2-1). The biggest surprise of the day was Grayhound (#25), the highest HLTV ranked team in the competition, being eliminated in the group stage after falling short against Chiefs and ORDER, 14-16, in both BO1 encounters.

In the BO3 semi-final playoffs, Chiefs and ORDER ran over Corvidae and Tainted Minds in two straight maps, respectively. In the grand final, veteran Mike "⁠ap0c⁠" Aliferis led his side to victory, boasting a +25 K-D difference and 1.38 rating in the tough 2-1 series, despite Jay "⁠Liazz⁠" Tregillgas' efforts in keeping ORDER in the game.
